HARRISON COUNTY, Ind.— In partnership with Lochmuller Group, the Indiana Department of Transportation will hold a second public information meeting for the State Road 11 Extension Project; a road construction project that will extend S.R. 11 from the intersection of S.R. 337, S.R. 11 and Melview Road, across Buck Creek, to the intersection of S.R. 135 and Watson Road in Harrison County.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to interact with the project team and receive updates on project progress. The project includes improvements to existing roads using Watson Road and Melview Road, construction of new roadway, and a new bridge.

The project is nearly halfway through the two-year environmental studies process. This phase involves preliminary engineering and the assessment of environmental impacts in identifying the best alignment for the roadway. Final design and right-of-way acquisition will follow. Construction is estimated to begin in the fall of 2025

The information meeting will take place at the following location:            SR 11 Ext Public Meeting - Harrison Co.

South Harrison Community Center - Gymnasium 5101 Main Street SE, Elizabeth, IN 47117

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. to allow the public to view displays and talk with project personnel prior to a presentation that will begin at 6 p.m. Project team members will be available to answer questions. Comment forms will also be provided.
