Ivy Tech Madison Partners with Madison Municipal Airport KIMS to Offer Federal Aviation Administration Testing

MADISON, Ind. – Ivy Tech Community College Madison is excited to announce its partnership with Madison Municipal Airport KIMS to provide Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) testing services. The collaboration expands Ivy Tech Madison's nationally recognized testing center’s services.

 

The FAA testing services cover a wide range of certifications, including Unmanned Aircraft General, Instrument Rating, Fundamentals of Instructing, Commercial Pilot, Private Pilot Airplane, Flight Instructor Glider, Flight Instructor Airplane, and many more.

 

Brent Spry, Airport Director, recognized the demand for qualified aviation professionals and reached out to Ivy Tech Madison in support of FAA testing. The process to become certified to offer FAA testing was a meticulous 16-month journey led by the dedicated Testing Services team. The team comprised April Garrison, Testing Services Manager; Han Hill, Assessment Technician; and Karen Long, Testing Specialist. “The partnership between Madison Municipal Airport and our Ivy Tech Testing Center commits to excellence and rigorous adherence to FAA standards which ensures regional access to a reliable and professional testing environment,” said Dr. Amanda Harsin, Chancellor. Ivy Tech Madison is proud to contribute to the growth of the aviation industry by providing accessible and efficient FAA testing services in conjunction with Madison Municipal Airport’s unwavering support.
