Jefferson County was ranked number 22 for unemployment out of all 92 Indiana counties

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Workforce Development released the breakdown of unemployment by county, for the second month in a row Jefferson County has seen a decrease in unemployment.
For July, Jefferson Counties unemployment came in at 7.7 percent, which is a 2.7 percent decrease from the month of June.
Jefferson County was ranked number 22 for unemployment out of all 92 Indiana counties and was also lower than that of the state which is 7.8 percent.
As for neighboring counties, Scott County was ranked 12th with 8.4 percent, Switzerland County was ranked 20th at 7.8 percent, Jennings County was ranked 43rd with 6.9 percent, and Ripley County was ranked 67 with 6.1 percent.
