Moderna bivalent booster doses are available to individuals ages 18 and older. Pfizer bivalent booster doses are available to individuals ages 12 and older. Influenza doses are available to individuals ages 6 months and older.

Bivalent boosters are completely free of charge to the patient. Insurance companies will be billed for the administration fee. Influenza vaccine will be billed to our contracted insurance companies. If not contracted, vaccine is available for self-pay, or the patient may seek vaccine from another provider. If a patient has no insurance vaccine is provided through the State of Indiana which can be given free of charge.

The bivalent boosters are authorized as a single dose administered at least 2 months after either: * Completion of the primary series with an authorized monovalent COVID-19 vaccine, or * Receipt of a booster dose of an authorized monovalent COVID-19 vaccine.

Individuals who recently had COVID-19 infection may consider delaying bivalent booster vaccination by 3 months from the date of symptom onset or positive test.

Monovalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccines are no longer authorized as booster doses for anyone 12 years of age and older.

Moderna and Pfizer bivalent booster vaccines are interchangeable, without regard for previous brand(s) given.

Bivalent boosters and influenza vaccines can be given at the same time
