Becoming a Trauma-Informed Community

Jefferson County scores very low on a number of health indicators, such as heart-related deaths, tobacco use, and obesity. The county is also dealing with substance abuse, mental health issues and domestic abuse. The Healthy Communities Initiative (HCI) of Jefferson County was created to help our county address health issues. To help move the county forward in discussing these issues, HCI and the Community Foundation of Madison and Jefferson County is inviting the community to attend a presentation of the film Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope.
