Jefferson County Seeking Grant Funding From OCRA, Public Meeting Being Held March 18

The grant is to create a Revolving Loan Fund Program.

(Madison, Ind.) – Jefferson County is seeking grant funding from OCRA’s COVID-19 Response program which is funded through Indiana’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

The Jefferson County Commissioners will be using the total amount available of $250,000, to create a Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Program. The goal of the RLF Program is to assist businesses that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Businesses must be up to date on their taxes, employ low-to-moderate income persons, and the business must reside within Jefferson County. This request is an economic development proposal that requires no displacement.

OCRA requests that Jefferson County prioritize businesses that are owned by veterans, minorities, and/or women. The Jefferson County Commissioners will be requesting that funds from their budget by used as matching funds with the permission of the Jefferson County Council.
