Jennings County Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop

9 grams of Fentanyl/Heroin was found following a search of the vehicle.

(Jennings County, Ind.) – On March 3, at approximately 10:51 p.m. deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on County Road 350 West on a blue Chevrolet Cobalt after being clocked at a high rate of speed.

During the stop, North Vernon Police canine Zobie and his partner, Shane Trepanier, were called to the scene. An open-air sniff of the vehicle was performed and Zobie alerted to the detection of narcotic drugs inside of the vehicle.

9 grams of Fentanyl/Heroin was found following a search of the vehicle. The driver 27-year-old Willian Heilman, of North Vernon, was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance (level 6 felony) and is currently being held in the Jennings County Jail without bond.
