Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Collision In Carroll County

Crash remains under investigation

CARROLL COUNTY, Ky. (05/25/2024) – At approximately 3:43 pm on Friday May 25th Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg received a call for assistance from Carrollton dispatch in reference to a single vehicle collision.  The collision occurred on Kentucky Highway 36 near US Highway 42 in Carroll County.  KSP Post 5 personnel responded to the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle operated by Marcos Corchado Castaneda, a 54 year old male of Carrollton, was traveling east on KY 36. For unknown reasons the vehicle exited off the shoulder of the roadway and overturned multiple times. 

The Carroll County Coroner pronounced Marcos Corchado Castaneda deceased at approximately 4:20 pm.  Next of kin has been notified.
