Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Collision in Henry County

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Kentucky State Police.

(Pendleton, Ky.) - On May 24, at 9:59 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 5 troopers responded to an injury collision on Interstate 71 near the exit 28 ramp. 

The preliminary investigation indicated that Reva Annis, a 78-year-old female from Lagrange, was traveling the wrong direction on the I-71 north exit ramp and entered the northbound lane of I-71 striking a tractor-trailer. Annis was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

KSP learned on May 25 that Annis succumbed to the injures she sustained in the accident.  

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Kentucky State Police.  At this time drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a contributing factor. 

Henry County Sheriffs Office, Campbellsburg Fire Department and the Henry County EMS assisted on scene.
