The KSP reconstruction team is conducting an ongoing investigation.

(Gallatin County, Ky.) – On Sunday January 17, the Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg received a request from the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office requesting an accident reconstructionist to help investigate a fatal accident that occurred during a pursuit.
Gallatin County Dispatch advised a that a Warsaw Police Department officer had attempted to stop a Toyota passenger car on US 42 for a speeding violation. During the pursuit, the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and collided with a concrete wall.
The driver, 31-year-old Josh Hodges and front passenger 34-year-old Tiffany McNeil, both of Florence were wearing their seatbelts and were transported to the hospital for medical attention.
A third passenger 54-year-old Shanda Withrow of Hamilton, Ohio, was not restrained and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Gallatin County Coroner.
KSP was assisted at the scene by the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office, Warsaw Police Department, Gallatin Fire Department, Switzerland County EMS, Carroll County EMS, and Gallatin County Coroner.
