(Madison, Ind.) – King’s Daughters’ Health has confirmed its first case of COVID-19. The patient is from Switzerland County and currently quarantined at home.

“We have built a foundation that enables us to be ready for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” said Carol Dozier, President/CEO of King’s Daughters’ Health. “Today, we have adequate supplies and staffing to care for our community. At the same time, we are working with state and federal officials to ensure those supplies remain available. It takes teamwork, and we have put together an exceptional team.”

Many cases of COVID-19 result in mild symptoms, allowing those patients to treat themselves at home and minimize the spread of the virus while they recover.
Individuals who have questions about COVID-19, including care at home or management of symptoms, should contact their personal provider or call the KDH COVID-19 Hotline at 812.801.8010, available seven days a week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Patients experiencing life-threatening symptoms should call 9-1-1 or go their nearest emergency department.
