KSP Charges Two Deputy Jailers With Promoting Contraband Into the Carroll County Detention Center

 On August 26, 2019, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg arrested Robert McDole, 35, and Yogi Perkins, 41, at the Carroll County Detention Center on charges related to Promoting Contraband.

 

The arrests resulted from an investigation that revealed the two jail staff employees were allegedly paid to introduce illicit items into the Carroll County Detention Center.

 

McDole was charged with four counts of Promoting Contraband 2nd degree, two counts of Promoting Contraband 1st degree and Bribery of a Public Servant.  Perkins was charged with two counts of Promoting Contraband 2nd, one count of Promoting Contraband 1st and Bribery of a Public Servant.  Both McDole and Perkins were lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.


The investigation remains ongoing by Kentucky State Police.  The Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Carroll County Jailer during the investigation.
