By Madison-Jefferson Co. Animal Shelter

Week of February 25th

I’m “MaKayla”

I love to visit with people so much that I wait by the front door for a visitor to arrive. I appear to be fine with calm dogs and most cats. You can find me roaming the shelter lobby with Doc and Momma T, who are also two other “Lobby” cats available for adoption.

I love to snuggle on your chest as you do paperwork, though sometimes I tend to make it harder. I don’t mean to, but I just love attention so much.

I am $45.00 of My Adoption and Spay Fees courtesy of the Jefferson County Humane Society and the Jefferson County Animal Shelter .

I’m “King”

SPECIAL NEEDS: I have an old leg injury and the doctor has said it is best to have the leg amputated. I have an appt. scheduled for March 20th. My adopter must follow through with the amputation surgery, but the shelter will provide financial assistance for the surgery’s said it is best to have the leg amputated. I have an appt. scheduled for March 20th. My adopter must sign a contract to follow through with the amputation surgery, but the shelter will provide financial assistance for the surgery.

I seem to do well with most dogs, but it is recommended for me to meet my new playmate to be sure. I will need a calm environment after my surgery, and also a home without cats. I am so smart, but living here at the shelter sometimes makes me forget my manners and I can be very mouthy while playing.  Young children may not be ideal in my new home because of this. With a little bit of work on your part, I will remember how to be a good boy and behave.
