Madison Man & Woman Arrested For Drug Charges

Initially pulled over for a traffic stop

                                         

Monday, Madison Police Patrolman Jared Sweet arrested Rank Carter 37, and Amber M. Juarez 32, both of Madison, Indiana, on drug related charges.  

Officer Sweet executed a traffic stop in the 700 block of Clifty Drive, for a traffic violation.  The driver was identified as Rank Carter, who was found to be operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a driver's license.  The passenger in the vehicle was identified as Amber Juarez.  

The subsequent investigation led to the discovery of narcotics in the vehicle.  Officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia associated with the use of drugs.  Both parties were taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail without incident.

Rank Carter faces the following preliminary alleged charges of - L-6 Felony possession of methamphetamine, "A" misdemeanor possession of paraphanailia "A" misdemeanor operator never licensed and "A" misdemeanor possession of marijuana. .  Amber Juarez faces preliminary alleged charges of L-6 Felony possession of methamphetamine, "A" misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and "A" misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.  

Both Carter and Juarez have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
