Madison Man Arrested On Narcotic Charges

Lengthy investigation led to arrest

                                                 

On April 26, 2022, Madison Police arrested Patrick E. Otten, 26, of Madison, on numerous narcotic related charges. The investigation, led by Detective Kyle Cutshaw and Patrolman Cameron Blankenship began in 2022 after information revealed Otten to be a source of prescription medication in Jefferson County, Indiana. Several controlled narcotic purchases were conducted, which led to the issuance of a search warrant for Otten’s residence. During the execution of the search warrant, Officers located numerous prescription medications, including more than 30 suspected fentanyl tablets, along with methamphetamine, marijuana and marijuana wax. A handgun was also seized during a search of the property. Approximately $1,100 in US currency was seized during the investigation. Detective Cutshaw and Patrolman Blankenship were assisted by Officers Shelpman, Heffelfinger, Nolan, Smith, Sweet, Jackson, and Chief John I. Wallace during the investigation.
