Madison Officer Brian Ashcraft, K-9 partner Colt Place 3rd In On-Point K9 Competition

The competition consisted of thirty K-9 teams from twelve different states.

(Madison, Ind.) - Madison Police K-9 Officer Brian Ashcraft and his K-9 partner Colt recently participated in the 8th annual "On-Point K9 Competition" in Scottsville, Kentucky.

The competition consisted of thirty K-9 teams from twelve different states.

Overall Officer Ashcraft and Colt placed 3rd overall in the narcotic detection category, bringing home an award for the second consecutive year. The team has been working together for approximately one year. 

Officer Ashcraft and Colt are one of three K-9 teams serving the citizens of Madison. The other two teams are Captain Rick Mundt and K-9 Zimo, Patrolman Brad Demaree, and K-9 Champi. Madison Police K-9's are certified in both narcotic detection and patrol.
