All Three Have Presumption Of Innocence
On 10/02/2021, MPD Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 1000 block of Park Avenue. During the course of investigating the traffic accident, Patrolman Shelpman located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle driven by Brittany N. Jenkins, 33 of Madison. Jenkins was placed under arrest for Possession of methamphetamine, level 6 felony. Criminal charges filed in this case are allegations, and Jenkins has the presumption of innocence unless otherwise proven guilty in a court of law.
On 10/03/2021, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy Laura Pickel located Dillon A.M. Youngblood, 29 of Madison. Youngblood had an active arrest warrant for dealing methamphetamine, a level two felony. The charge stems from an investigation conducted by Detective Kyle Cutshaw of MPD, in which Youngblood was the target of a controlled drug purchase. Cutshaw was assisted by Detectives Harris, Scudder, and Patrol Officer Nichole Midgett.
Criminal charges are allegations, and Dillon Youngblood has the presumption of innocence unless otherwise proven guilty in court of law.

On 10/03/2021 at , Patrolman Curtis Shelpman of MPD attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a male later identified as Steven A. Withrow, age 44 of Madison. Withrow was observed riding a bicycle in the roadway after dark with no head lamp or rear reflector. As Shelpman attempted to stop Withrow, Withrow attempted to flee on the bicycle, cutting between nearby buildings. Shelpman observed Withrow reaching into the front waistband of his pants as he cut between businesses located near the corner of Clifty and Michigan Road.
Lt. Jackson of MPD was able to take Withrow into custody shortly after. A container with suspected methamphetamine was located in the area where Withrow was taken into custody. Withrow is facing charges of resisting law enforcement by fleeing, class A misdemeanor and possession of methamphetamine, level 6 felony.
