Madison Police Arrest Three On Various Drug Charges

December 4, 2021, Madison Police arrested Robert A. Ray 45, Bennington, Indiana, on drug related charges.  Officer's Cameron Blankenship and Nichole Midgett responded to the area of the Holiday Inn Express, reference suspicious activity.  Officers located the person in question and conducted a traffic stop on Franks Drive.  The subsequent search and investigation revealed Ray was in possession of a significant amount of methamphetamine.  Evidence seized from Ray coincides with the intent to deal narcotics

Robert Ray faces preliminary alleged charges of dealing methamphetamine L-4 felony, possession of methamphetamine L-5 felony, and possession of paraphernalia A/M.  Ray has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  

December 5, 2021, Madison Police arrested Michael T. West 26, Deputy, Indiana, and Brittany M. Combs 29, Madison, Indiana, on narcotic related charges.  Officer Nichole Midgett and Cameron Blankenship responded to Windridge Drive, reference a suspicious vehicle.  Officer Midget, upon arrival, found West, Combs, and a small child in the vehicle in question.  The subsequent investigation led to the discovery of methamphetamine, cocaine, a controlled substance, paraphanailia, and a handgun. 

Michael West faces preliminary alleged charges of possession of methamphetamine L-5 felony, possession of cocaine L-5 felony, possession of a controlled substance L-6 felony, neglect of a dependent L-6 felony, possession of a handgun A/M, and possession of paraphanailia A/M.

Brittany Combs faces preliminary alleged charges of possession of methamphetamine L-5 felony, neglect of a dependent L-6 felony, and possession of paraphanailia A/M.  Both Combs and West have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  Captain Bruce Heaton assisted.
