Madison Police Arrest Two on Drug Charges Following Theft of Golf Cart

Both have the presumption of innocences until otherwise proven guilty.

                                       

July 29, 2022, @ approximately 10:57 AM Madison Police investigated a reported golf cart theft  from the area of Vaughn Drive, near Poplar Street. 

At approximately 12:30 PM (same date) Madison Police Detective Shawn Scudder located the stolen golf cart, occupied, in the 300 block of McIntire Street.  The female driver of the cart was identified as Angela M. Huff, 35, North Vernon, Indiana. A male passenger was identified as Daniel W. Brim 37, Madison, Indiana. 

Angela Huff was taken into custody and charged with theft.  The subsequent investigation found Huff to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Huff was transported to the Jefferson County Jail, where additional narcotics were located on her person. 

Angela M. Huff faces preliminary alleged charges of:  Theft L-6 felony, possession of methamphetamine L-6 felony, obstruction of justice L-6 felony, trafficking with an inmate L-6 felony, driving while suspended (prior) class A misdemeanor and possession of paraphernalia class C misdemeanor.  Daniel Brim faces a preliminary alleged charge of possession of paraphernalia class C misdemeanor.   Both Huff and Brim have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
