Shawe created several scoring opportunities in the first half, but the game remained scoreless heading into halftime. The Toppers broke the ice in the 51st minute when Hugo Rodriguez Stephien found Gus Grote for the opening goal. Just four minutes later, Rodriguez Stephien sent another ball into the box, which Johnny Cooke finished to extend the lead to 2-0. In the final minute of the match, Grote scored his second goal of the night, capitalizing on a loose ball following a deflection in the Southwestern box. On defense, Loren Stiver, Taylor Ralston, Connor Kahn, Patrick Kahn, Joe Hart, and Aiden Edmondson held Southwestern scoreless. Keeper Clark Nichter recorded 6 saves, securing his fifth shutout of the season.

Shawe scored early off a cross from Kinsley Pollitt to Maria Ameca-mendoza then 13 minutes later a pass from Robbi Alderman to Kinsley Pollitt made it 2 to 0. The reminder of game became a defensive battle . Toppers out shot Trenity 20 to 3 Toppers defense stood their ground and shut down every run leading only 3 shots.
