Equipment Violation Led Arrest

Madison Police arrested Corey W. Creech 28, Deputy, Indiana and Amber W. Reffett 29, Madison, Indiana on various narcotic related charges.
Madison Police Patrolman Josh Nolan executed a traffic stop on Michigan road near Mouser Street, at approximately 8:54PM, for an equipment violation. Creech was operating the vehicle with Refferett being a passenger. Officers noted the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, which led to a subsequent search of the passenger compartment. Officers located a crystal type substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a legend drug.
Both Corey Creech and Amber Reffett were taken into custody and face the following preliminary alleged charges of - possession of a legendary drug L-6 felony, possession of methamphetamine L-6 felony,possession of paraphernalia "B" misdemeanor and possession of marijuana "C" misdemeanor. Both Creech and Reffett have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty. Officer Nolan was assisted by Officers Jackson, Watson, & Shelpman.
