Madison Police Arrested Ghent Man on Drug Charges

Impaired Driving Leads to Arrest

Early Monday Morning , @ approximately 12:00 AM, Madison Police Patrolman Zackery Nicholson responded to the area of the Madison / Milton Bridge for a report of a possible impaired driver operating a white Chevy S-10.  At approximately 12:05 AM Nicholson located the vehicle in question as it came into Indiana from Kentucky.  

Officer Nicholson executed a traffic stop on Second Street, near Harrison Street, after establishing probable cause for the stop. The driver was identified as Aaron L. Anderson 32, Ghent, Kentucky.  The subsequent investigation found Anderson to be in possession of heroine and a syringe.  

Aaron L. Anderson was charged with possession of a scheduled drug L-6  felony and possession of a syringe L-6 felony.  Anderson was transported to the Jefferson County Jail without incident. Anderson has the presumption of innocence's until otherwise proven guilty.
