FLOWER BEDS PROJECT UPDATED

 

THE CITY OF MADISON ANNOUNCED ON APRIL 6TH THEIR INTENT TO IMPROVE THE FLOWER BEDS ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH SIDES OF MAIN STREET AND THE WEST SIDE OF JEFFERSON TO BROADWAY. STARTING THIS WEEK WEATHER PERMITTING, THE STREET DEPARTMENT WILL BEGIN CLEARING FLOWER BEDS AND PREPPING FOR THE LANDSCAPERS. ALL THE PLANTS THAT ARE CURRENTLY IN THE BEDS WILL BE REMOVED, THOSE WILL BE REPLANTED IN OTHER LOCATIONS OR MADE AVAILABLE TO CITIZENS. FOLLOWING ALL THE PREP WORK, PLANTING WILL BEGIN IN THE BEDS WITH VARIOUS PERENNIALS INCLUDING POLLINATORS.
