Male Identified In Homicide In Downtown Madison

August 25, 2021, @ approximately 4:45 PM Madison Police responded to the 700 block of Walnut Street, reference a man laying in the backyard of a residence.  The male, identified as Dana P. Hodge 65, Madison, Indiana, was found to have been the victim of a homicide. 

Madison Police Detectives Ricky Harris and Shawn Scudder led the investigation, with the assistance of Detective Kyle Cutshaw.  Indiana State Police Crime Scene Technician Merit Toomey processed the crime scene. 

Jefferson County Coroner Rodney Nay request to be contacted by anyone with knowledge of Dana Hodge's next of kin.  The investigation is ongoing.
