Missing Switzerland Co. Woman Found

Switzerland Co. Sheriff's Dept. would like to thank everybody in their efforts of locating Jessica Ledbetter.

(Switzerland County, Ind.) - Jessica Ledbetter, 33, has been located after search efforts along Makland Pike during the afternoon hours of March 12. 

Ledbetter was transported to King's Daughters' Health here in Madison for treatment for exposure but seems to be in stable condition. 

A passing motorist reported a female matching Ledbetter's description who appeared to be in distress along Markland Pike in the early hours of March 11, but officers were unable to locate the woman at the time. Ledbetter was reported missing by family members later that same evening of March 11. 

Search efforts were then conducted in the area throughout the day with numerous volunteers assisting. A concerned neighbor eventually located Ledbetter by ATV in a wooded area near by. 

The Switzerland Co. Sheriff's Office would like to thank members of the Texas Equusearch Ohio Midwest Chapter, Jeff-Craig Fire Department, Switzerland County Emergency Response, and concerned citizens for their assistance.
