Narcotics Search Warrant Lands Madison Man in Jail

A lengthy investigation leads to arrest

Wednesday , Madison Police Department served a narcotic search warrant on a residence in the 600 block of Walnut Street.  As a result of the executed warrant, Madison Police arrested Sean E. Cooksey 54, Madison, Indiana.   

Detective Kyle Cutshaw led the investigation in which police seized methamphetamine, and marijuana during the search of Cooksey's Walnut Street residence.  Madison Police Detective's Ricky Harris and Shawn Scudder assisted Cutshaw with the investigation.  

Sean E. Cooksey faces preliminary alleged charges of; possession of methamphetamine L-5 felony, maintaining a common nuisance L-6 felony, possession of marijuana class "B" misdemeanor, operator never licensed class "C" misdemeanor, and operating without ever obtaining a license (2nd offense) class "C" misdemeanor.  Police observed Cooksey operating a motor vehicle prior to serving the search warrant.  

Sean E. Cooksey has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
