New Law Effective In Jefferson Co. July 1

A new law prohibiting cellphone use while driving.

(Jefferson County, Ind.) - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office announced today that they are implementing a new law on July 1. 

This new law is prohibiting cellphone use while driving, the sheriff's office says that using Bluetooth technology is acceptable, but holding your cellphone while driving is not acceptable. 

"It is a great idea for everyone to start preparing for this new law. Drive responsibly," stated the sheriff's office.
