Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Henry County

Case remains under investigation

                                                                           

CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky. (01/01/2023) – On December 30, 2022 at approximately 7:32 pm Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg received a 911 call in reference to a pedestrian being struck by a truck on Kentucky Highway 146 near the 8800 block.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2002 Ford pickup truck was traveling west when it struck a pedestrian walking in the westbound lane on Kentucky Highway 146.  The pedestrian was identified as Jimmie Cain, a 73 year old male of Lagrange. 

Mr. Cain was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  Next of kin has been notified. 

This is an ongoing investigation.  The Kentucky State Police were assisted on scene by the Henry County Sheriff's Office, Henry County EMS, and Lake Jericho Fire Department
