Pope John 6th Grader Place In Top 40 Within The State At Math Contest

Luke Gardner, came in 32nd out of several hundred 6th grade math students in Indiana.

(Madison, Ind.) – For the second year in a row, Pope John’s 6th grade class has come in 10th in Indiana’s Math League Contest.

This year, for the first time, a Pope John student has come within the top 40 students in the state. Sixth-grader, Luke Gardner, came in 32nd out of several hundred 6th grade math students in Indiana.

“I am super proud of Luke for this accomplishment! We at Prince of Peace Schools, are thankful for our outstanding 5th/6th-grade math teacher, Mrs. Colleen Burdette, who challenges and encourages students in her classroom every day,” said Bethany Fewell, Principal of Pope John.
