RCHD Announces Closure of Osgood Testing Site, New Site Opening In Milan

The closure of this site occurred yesterday April 8 in response to the county’s request.

(Ripley County, Ind.) – The Ripley County Health Department announced yesterday that the testing site located in Osgood will no longer be open.

The closure of this site occurred yesterday April 8 in response to the county’s request.

The health department state that the county was made aware of unprofessional, inappropriate behavior by the employees of the Indiana Department of Health’s contractor at a state-sponsored testing site in the county.

The Indiana Department of Health, Ripley County Health Department, and Ripley County EMD are partnering to hold free COVID-19 testing. This site has both rapid and PCR tests.

The site will be located at:

Milan Volunteer Fire Department

201 E. Ripley Street, Milan IN 47031

The site will be open:

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

2nd Saturday of the month: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Walk-ins are available.

Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent. To register, please visit https://www.coronavirus.in.gov/2524.htm

Hoosiers will not be charged for testing and insurance is not required. If you have private health insurance, please bring that information with you.
