READI Program Underway in Southern Indiana Region

Proven to be even greater than anticipated

Indiana Ecomomic Development Corporation Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative (READI) a program to invest up to $500 million toward regional development projects has proven to be even greater than anticipated.

18 regions have been defined in the state in hopes of awarded the up to $ 50 million for the implementation of their regional development plans.

91 of Indiana's 92 counties are participating with Fayette County the only exception not included in the region.

The $ 500 million READI program is expected to help up to 10 regions, 18 regions provides more competition for local SIRDA which has been in existence since 2017.

The local SIRDA includes Jefferson,Clark,Floyd,Scott and Washington counties.
