SEVERAL ARRESTED FOR DRUGS AND NEGLECT OF A DEPENDENT

Execution of the search warrant,

                                     

In the evening hours of June 6, 2022, Deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff's Office responded to an address in Country Squire Lakes in reference to a Welfare Check on a 2-year-old child. During the investigation, illegal narcotics were found in plain view that led to Deputy John Amis applying for and being granted a Jennings County Circuit Court Search Warrant.

During the execution of the search warrant, Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, Marijuana and several other controlled substances were in a location accessible to the child. Deputies contacted the Indiana Department of Child Services, and the child was removed from the home and placed with a family member.

The following four individuals were arrested without incident and are currently being held in the Jennings County Jail:

Donovan Creech (30 North Vernon): Neglect of a Dependent Child- Level 6 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine- Level 6 Felony, Possession of Marijuana- B Misdemeanor, Possession of Paraphernalia- C Misdemeanor. Being held on a $3,155 bond.

Lisa Creech (52 North Vernon): Neglect of a Dependent Child- Level 6 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine- Level 6 Felony, Possession of Marijuana- B Misdemeanor, Possession of Paraphernalia- C Misdemeanor Bond- Possession of Controlled Substance- A Misdemeanor. Being held on a $3,155 bond.

Jonathon Moore (34 North Vernon): Possession of Methamphetamine- Level 6 Felony, Possession of Marijuana- B Misdemeanor, Possession of Paraphernalia- C Misdemeanor Bond- Possession of Controlled Substance- A Misdemeanor. Being held on a $3,155 bond.

Thomas Smallwood (21 North Vernon): Possession of Methamphetamine- Level 6 Felony, Possession of Marijuana- B Misdemeanor, Possession of Paraphernalia- C Misdemeanor Bond- Possession of Controlled Substance- A Misdemeanor. Being held on a $3,155 bond.

Deputy Amis was assisted by Deputy Garrett Hoppock, Reserve Deputy Steve Marsh, Sgt. Thomas Mellencamp, Jennings County Central Dispatch and the Indiana Department of Child Services
