(Madison, Ind.) - Shawe High School has announced its delegates for Hoosier Boys State and Hoosier Girls State for 2020.
Considerations for the selection process are good character, honesty, showing proper respect to the U.S. Flag, and having a love for both God and the Country.
The delegates for this year’s Hoosier Boys State and Hoosier Girls State are Shawe High School Juniors Trey Suggett and Abigail Hill.
Shawe faculty nominates delegates for this program designed to educate students in Indiana of the duties, privileges, and responsibilities of citizenship.
Hoosier Boys and Girls State involves a week of living and learning the political system of Indiana through a mythical city, county, and state. The event will be held at Trine University this coming summer.
Suggett is being sponsored by the American Legion Post #9 and Hill is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 9. Prince of Peace Schools said,
“We appreciate this leadership opportunity for our students and the support from the American Legion and Auxiliary.”
