Each year, Shawe faculty nominates a delegate for this program designed to educate Indiana students in the areas of duties, privileges, and responsibilities of citizenship.

Hoosier Girls State usually involves a week of living and learning the political system of Indiana through a mythical city, county, andstate held at Trine University; however, this summer the event will be virtual. The American Legion Auxiliary sponsors the female delegate.

Unfortunately, Hoosier Boys State was canceled this year due to the pandemic.
