(Madison, Ind.) – Sixteen new members from the Sophomore Class at Shawe Memorial High School have been inducted into the Fr. Michael Shawe Honor Society.

To be considered for membership, a student must achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5. Members are charged with upholding the five qualities that serve as standards for the society which are; scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.

“We are very proud of this group of students who have exceeded in so many areas academically, but also on the personal side of all areas. These students go above and beyond, and it is nice to recognize them for such great accomplishments. The criteria and evaluation is very challenging at Shawe Memorial and the students and their families should be proud,” stated Mr. Curt Gardner, Principal.
