THIS WILL ONLY BE A ONE DAY CLOSURE

SCOTT COUNTY, Ind.— Louisville & Indiana Railroad plans to close the S.R 56 railroad crossing between Elm Street and Railroad Street in Scottsburg for repairs starting the morning of Tuesday, April 4. The crossing is expected to reopen the afternoon of Wednesday, April 5.
Traffic will be routed along the official detour, which follows S.R. 3 to S.R. 356 to U.S. 31, back to S.R. 56. Access to local business will be maintained.
INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use caution and drive distraction-free in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change
