SUV vs Garbage Truck Accident Sends One To Hospital

Rear end collision

A two-vehicle accident on Clifty Drive early yesterday afternoon sent one person to the hospital.

According to the Jefferson Co. Sheriff’s Department a SUV collided with a stopped City of Madison garbage truck which was collecting trash just to the east of the north entrance of Clifty Falls State Park.

Two occupants had to be extricated from the vehicle and a female was air lifted to a Louisville Hospital. A male also received minor injuries.

Clifty Drive was closed in both directions for about an hour. Garbage pick-up was also delayed for those along Clifty Drive during the afternoon.
