Three Arrested, 55 Grams Of Methamphetamine Seized In Scott Co.

The three arrested occurred early Friday, January 29.

(Scott County, Ind.) – The Scott County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office and the Seymour Police Department, served a search warrant at a residence on Lovers Lane in Scottsburg on January 29.

The search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation by the Sheriff’s Office the led to the arrests of three people

57-year-old Mason Steinkamp was arrested on an outstanding warrant for four counts of dealing in methamphetamine. He also received additional alleged charges of dealing in methamphetamine at least 10 grams, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Natasha Prosser, 34, of Austin was arrested for maintaining a common nuisance, and Jordyn Combest, 20, of Madison was arrested for unlawful possession of a syringe, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia.

During the search of the home officers located and seized over 55 grams of methamphetamine along with other legend drugs, and over $400.00 of U.S. currency.

On Wednesday, January 27, officers executed a separate search warrant.

With this warrant, 54-year-old Leroy Whitaker was arrested for an outstanding warrant for dealing in methamphetamine.

"At this time, you would think drug dealers would know they cannot deal drugs in Scott County and get away with it. Those who choose this type of lifestyle will surely end up in the same fate as the folks we arrested today,” said Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin.

Sheriff Goodin would also like to thank the public for all the tips the Sheriff’s office receives.
