Three Injured Following After Golf Cart Collided With Van

Investigation by the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police Reconstruction Team is still ongoing.

(Jennings County, Ind.) – Deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of an accident on September 6, which sent three to the hospital with serious injuries.

Preliminary investigation found that a golf cart traveling Northbound on County Road 700 West failed to stop at the intersection at 300 North. The golf cart struck an eastbound Ford Econoline Van that was approaching the intersection.

A juvenile and adult male who were traveling on the golf cart were transported by helicopter from the scene to Riley and Methodist Hospitals with critical injuries. A second adult male on the golf cart was transported from the scene to St. Vincent Jennings Hospital. The occupants in the van were uninjured.

Investigation by the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police Reconstruction Team is still ongoing.
