Three Madison Men Arrested On Narcotics Charges

Search Warrant Led to the Arrest

                                      

March 31, 2022, Madison Police served a narcotic search warrant on a residence in the 200 block of E. Fifth Street, three individuals were arrested. 

Madison Police Patrolman Camerson Blankenship led an investigation into narcotics activity at a residence in the 200 block of E. Fifth Street.  As a result of Officer Blankenship's investigation,a search warrant was sought and obtained for a residence belonging to Carl T. Proctor.  Three individuals were present when the warrant was served. 

The search warrant led to the discovery of methamphetamine, and paraphernalia associated with the use of the drug.  As a result of the search, investigating officers arrested Carl T. Proctor 64, Madison, Indiana, Russell M. Campton 47, Madison, Indiana, and Maurice W. Youngblood 55, Madison, Indiana.  

Campton and Youngblood face preliminary alleged charges of possession of methamphetamine L-6 felony and possession of paraphernalia Class C misdemeanor.  Proctor faces preliminary alleged charges of possession of methamphetamine L-6 felony, possession of paraphernalia class C misdemeanor, and maintaining a common nuisance level 6 felony.  Youngblood had three outstanding warrants out of Jefferson County, Indiana, for maintaining a common nuisance L-6 felony, possession of a hypodermic / syringe needle L-6 felony and possession of paraphernalia class C misdemeanor. 

Carl Proctor, Maurice Youngblood and Russell Campton were transported to the Jefferson County Jail where they await their initial court appearance.  All three have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  Officer Blankenship was assisted by Officers R. Wayne Phillips, Kayla Taylor-Moore and Kyle Potter.
