Traffic Violation Leads To Arrest Of Two

Both Marcus Box and Jasmine Box were taken into custody.

(Madison, Ind.) - Two were arrested following a traffic stop at Jefferson and Second streets in Madison on April 20.

Madison Police Patrolman Trent Smith stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation and identified the driver as 28-year-old Marcus Box, of Milton. M. Box was found to be operating the vehicle with an expired license. The passenger was identified as 24-year-old Jasmine Box of Sulphur, Ky. 

J. Box stated that the vehicle belonged to her, but was unable to produce paperwork that indicated such. 

The traffic stop led to a subsequent search of the vehicle, in which officers located a syringe and methamphetamine.  Both Marcus Box and Jasmine Box were taken into custody.

Both Marcus Box and Jasmine Box were taken into custody.  Marcus faces preliminary alleged charges of possession of a syringe (level 6 felony),  and possession of methamphetamine(level 6 felony).  Jasmine faces a preliminary alleged charge of possession of methamphetamine(level 6 felony).  Both Marcus and Jasmine are currently incarcerated in the Jefferson County Jail on a $1000.00 cash bond.
