Two Arrested Following Burglary Charges in Clark Co.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Valley Crime Suppression Task Force were requested to assist Clark County Sheriff’s Office in the apprehension of two people.

(Jefferson County, Ind.) - On March 25, 2020, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Valley Crime Suppression Task Force were requested to assist Clark County Sheriff’s Office in the apprehension of Eric Allen Hendrix, 42 y/o, of Hanover, Indiana and Jessica Jesse, 36 y/o, of Hanover, Indiana, in connection with a criminal investigation that occurred in Clark County on March 21, 2020.

On March 25, 2020, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was known to be operated by Jessica Jesse in Southern Jefferson County. She was taken into custody and transferred into the custody of Clark County Sheriff’s Detectives.

On March 26, 2020, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Jennings County Sheriff’s Deputies located a vehicle registered to Eric Hendrix on East County Road 600 South. Jennings County Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. Eric Hendrix failed to yield to the deputies and a pursuit took place. The pursuit ended at the Jefferson County and Jennings County line on State Road 7 at approximately 1:20 p.m. No one was injured in the pursuit and Eric Hendrix was placed under arrest for his Clark County warrant(s). Eric Hendrix was transferred into the custody of Clark County Sheriff’s Detectives.

Additional charges may be filed, in connection with the pursuit after being reviewed by the respective Prosecutor’s Offices.

Clark County issued an arrest warrant on Eric Hendrix and Jessica Jesse for the following: Burglary Level 1 Felony Aggravated Battery Level 3 Felony Robbery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury Level 2 Felony Criminal Confinement Level 3 Felony Theft of Firearm Level 6 Felony

“This is an excellent example of joint investigative efforts between multiple law enforcement agencies in the pursuit of violent offenders” stated Chief Deputy Joshua R. Taylor.
