Two Arrested For DUI's Following Accidents in Scott Co.

(Scott County, Ind.) – The Scott County Sheriff’s Office arrested two this weekend following drunk driving accidents. The accidents and arrests occurred on different days.

The first arrest on December 18, Corporal James Ward with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident in rural Scott County.

Upon arrival an investigation into the incident led to the arrest of 24-year-old Brandon Gatke, of Madison for Operating While Intoxicated, Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury to a Public Official, and Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon to a Judge, Bailiff, of Prosecuting Attorney.

On December, 20 Corporal Charlie Morgan responded to the report of an accident in rural Scott County. After an investigation took place, 52-year-old Christopher Strange, of Salem was taken into custody for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Prior, and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person.

Both are currently in the Scott County Jail.
