(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Indiana’s unemployment rate continues to drop.
The state’s jobless rate has dropped to 6.4 percent for August, according to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
The rate has gone down from what was seen in July with 7.9 percent and continues to remain below the national rate of 8.4 percent.
Indiana’s labor force had a net increase of 41,752 over the previous month. In total, the state’s labor force stands at 3.36 million, and the state’s 63.5 percent labor force participation rate is above the national rate of 61.7 percent.

As for neighboring states, Kentucky has the next best unemployment rate at 7.6 percent.
