Winter Weather Advisory until 4:00AM Wednesday

A mix of rain and snow

Plentiful moisture rushing into the area from the south tonight will run into some colder air. As precipitation begins this evening, a mix of rain and snow is forecast from the Parkways in central Kentucky north to southern Indiana. Periods of moderate snow are possible this evening...which briefly could cause issues on area roadways. Warmer air continuing to move into the region overnight should transition any snow chances to rain well before daybreak Wednesday...allowing snows to melt before the morning commute.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Brief periods of moderate snow possible. Total snow accumulations of one to two inches are forecast.

* WHERE...Portions of Indiana and east central and north central Kentucky.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 4 AM EST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Moderate snows could overcome warm road temperatures...allowing briefly slipper conditions. As rates come back down, the snow should melt quickly.
