(Madison, Ind.) – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in the Jefferson County area.
This advisory will go into effect beginning at 4:00 p.m. today and will last until 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 9.
A rain/snow mix is expected, and will then change to mostly snow in southern Indiana a wintry mix in north-central Kentucky for the evening hours. Overnight some freezing rain or freezing drizzle is expected and may create a light glaze.
Slick roads and sidewalks are to be expected.
Areas affected are Jefferson, Scott, Trimble, Henry, Clark, Dubois, Perry, Crawford, Harrison, Oldham, Floyd, and Orange Counties.
