Softball:

Trimble Co. defeats Owen Co. 11-1 to win All A 8th Region Softball title. Hannah Chilton 3-4, 2HR, 2RBI, 3R Emma Ginn 2-2, 2B, 3R Jocie Stucker GS, 4RBI, R Alyssa Ritchie 2B, RBI Shelby Wright 2B, RBI Kaylee Payton 1B, R Alyssa Ritchie (W) 5IP, 0ER, 1H, 4K Raiders now 10-4.

Tennis:

The Lady Rebels hosted the Austin Lady Eagles on Wednesday. It was another tight match that was just hung in there and gutted it out. Nice warm day and Emma, Ava and one dubs came ready to play. Emma made quick work at two singles only giving up three games. Autumn and Natalie played maybe their best match of the year with some really impressive shots. Ava took the long road today playing three sets but her mental toughness continues to impress as she closed with a solid 6-1 third set to give us the win. Syrenia struggled to get going today against a tough freshman opponent but never gave up and had a lot of long rallies. Two doubles played a great first set then kind of settled for that as they just lacked the enthusiasm to win the last two sets. I told them you have to be excited about playing and show excitement when hitting good shots as partners. Enthusiasm, mental toughness and teamwork will win you a lot of matches and being flat will sure lose you a lot of them. Now 4-0 on the season we travel to the Covington Invitational on Saturday.

No. 1 singles – Syrenia Hardy (SW) lost to Brynn Owens (A) 2-6, 0-6

No. 2 singles – Emma Hatton (SW) def. Lydia Luedeman AH) 6-1, 6-2

No.3 singles – Ava Barnes (SW) def. Bayleigh Schepman (A) 6-7, 6-4, 6-1

No. 1 doubles – Autumn Gross and Natalie LaRue (SW) def. Ashley Rice and Evelyn Ousley (A) 6-4, 6-3

No. 2doubles – Raygan Crawford and Kaylee Hite (SW) lost to Emma Mains and Alley Davidson (A) 6-4, 4-6, 4-6

Reserve Winners

Jocelyn Johnson at singles, Adrea Earl in singles, Afton Kuppler in singles, Jaclyn Jackson and Emily Keeton at doubles and Ashia Seay and Lily Eggenspiller in doubles. 

Congratulations to Southwestern's Jamison Lewis on being selected to attend the IBCA Top 100 Workout for Boys Basketball. This is a huge accomplishment,

Congratulations to Southwestern's Jamison Lewis and Peyton Gwin on being named IBCA/Franciscan Health All-State Honorable Mention in Boys Basketball this year. Another huge accomplishment for both boys!!!!! Jamison was named for Underclassmen and Peyton was named for Seniors!!!
