VOLLEYBALL: 

Madison defeated Southwestern 3-0 in boys volleyball, It was SW's first-ever boys volleyball match

BASEBALL: Madison baseball beat South Dearborn 10-3 in the 1st game of the Big Mac Classic. Liam Murphy 2HR, 6RBI, 2R Drew Forner 2-3, 2B, RBI, 2R Zander Vonch 2-3 Colton O'Neal 1-2, 2RBI Mitchell Cammack 1-2, 2R Drew Forner (W) 4IP, 1ER, 3H, 5K, 1BB Cubs now 8-5.

Madison beat Providence 4-3 in game 2 on a Nick Johnson walkoff single in the bottom of the 7th. Craig Demaree 2-3, 3B, R Liam Murphy 2B, R Colton O'Neal 1B, 2RBI Nick Johnson 1B, RBI Colin Yancey 1B, RBI, R Ben Orrill (W) 7IP, 2ER, 4H, 6K, 4BB Cubs now 9-5.

SOFTBALL: Southwestern defeated New Washington 20-4  Ashley Fulton 5-5, HR, 2B, 4RBI, 4R Rorie Scroggins 3-4, HR, 4RBI, 3R Allie Birchfield 3-4, 2RBI, 3R Jenna Owens 2 2B, 3RBI, 3R Jenny Tankersley 2-5, 2B, 3RBI Riley Scroggins 2-4, 3R Ashley Fulton (W) 5IP, 2ER, 8H, 6K Rebels now 7-7.

TENNIS: 

Lady Rebel tennis made it three Southern Indiana Conference Championships in a row on Saturday. Southwestern defeated CAI in the first round 5-0, defeated Shawe in round two 3-2 and defeated Milan in the championship 4-1. Great day for the girls as all seven made all conference with number 1 singles Syrenia Hardy going 2-1 on the day. She had been sick since Tuesday and I apologized for my poor draw as we would have to play three matches to win the tourney and I knew she was still really under the weather.  Emma Hatton was also 2-1 at number 2 singles. At number 3 singles Ava Barnes continues to play solid for us going 3-0 on the day. One doubles team of Autumn Gross and Natalie Larue went 2-1 on the day and number 2 doubles Raygan Crawford and Kaylee Hite went a perfect 3-0. Raygan and Kaylee have played well together this season keeping the ball in play and letting their opponents make the mistakes. Just really proud of the all girls for their commitment and hard work as tennis is a short season and with graduation, prom, college visits and finals they have a lot going on and I appreciate their focus. Overall Shawe was third place defeating Trinity Lutheran in the consolation match. Sarah Willhite went 2-0 on the day to make all conference for the Lady Toppers. Other all conference awards went to Drew Hubbard going 3-0 at one singles for Trinity Lutheran and Milan number one doubles went 2-0 on the day. Kenny Garrett was named the Coach of the Year. Now 8-1 on the season the Lady Rebels travel to South Dearborn today for a rescheduled match
