Rebels move up to #2

After a huge win over then 4A #9 Jeffersonville on Saturday, the Southwestern boys basketball team moved up two in the latest 2A poll to #2. The Rebels also received 4 of the 15 first place votes. Six teams receiving votes including the Rebels all feed into the same 2A regional. North Decatur is in the same sectional as Southwestern and the Rebels could meet on the 28th at the North Decatur Tournament.

HANOVER COLLEGE BASKETBALL:

Women: Fell in overtime 75-73 to Virginia Wesleyan at the Puerto Rico Clasico in San Juan

Men: Lead by Cam Fails 32 points the Panthers hold on for a 80-79 win at Whittier in L.A.

 

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL:

Brownstown defeats Madison 47-36. Jade Nutley 16 for the Lady Cubs.

Trimble Co. falls to Walton-Verona 73-30. Shelby Wilcoxson 13 for the Lady Raiders.

 

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL:

Carroll Co. over Grant Co. 88-79. Wyatt Supplee career-high 36 for the Panthers.
