HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL:

Trimble Co. over Owen Co. 50-48. Reece Webster 15 and Beau Turner 14 for the Raiders.

Carroll Co. won their first game of the season 72-68 over Eminence. Wyatt Supplee scored 33 points while Keishaun Mumphrey added 29 for the Panthers.

South Decatur defeats Switzerland Co. 97-73

 

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL:

Madison defeats New Washington 68-49. Taylor Lynch led the Lady Cubs with 15 points.

Southwestern pulled out a 77-75 overtime win over Milan on the road. Ellie Foley hits the last second, game winning shot giving her 23 pts on the night. Ashton Goode had 18, Bella Marcum 16, Trinity McLain with 11.

HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMING:

Madison traveled to Floyd Central to swim in a double dual meet. In boys and girls, Madison defeated Scottsburg but fell to Floyd Central.

Switzerland Co. won the boys four-team meet with Southwestern 3rd and Shawe 4th. Jennings Co. was 2nd. In the girls Jennings Co. won the three-team meet with Switzerland Co. 2nd and Southwestern 3rd

Southwestern's boys’ basketball team moves up to No. 5 in this week's AP Class 2A poll. Regional foe Linton-Stockton remains No. 1.

Southwestern’s Austin Kramer has been named the ORVC Boys Basketball Player of the Week. Kramer, a junior, scored 29 points, had 16 assists, 12 steals and nine rebounds in two games last week.

Hanover football junior Kyle Treber was selected as a First Team All-North Region honoree by D3football.com. Treber is the first first-team selection since Rory Mannering, in 2011.
